NPIP Certified & Avian Influenza Clean
The health of our birds is of the utmost importance to us. We participate in the voluntary State-Federal cooperative testing and certification program known as the National Poultry Improvement Program. Our flock is tested bi-annually and is Pullorum-Typhoid and Avian Influenza clean, allowing the movement of our birds interstate.
Non-GMO Raised Flock
Great health starts with great nutrition! Our birds are fed a varied diet, though the feed we choose to primarily use is Non-GMO Project verified. We do not want to consume anything that has been genetically modified, and we certainly want our customers to receive the best quality meat and eggs possible. You can also rest assured there are never any added hormones or steroids.
Care & Humane Treatment
Happy birds are healthy birds, and therefore, also productive birds. We want our birds to have an stress-free life with an endless supply of food, fresh water, and enrichment. Daily our birds have access to dust baths, a variety of fresh foods to nibble if they so choose, ice and frozen treats during warmer months, and protection from predators so they have nothing to disturb them from living an enjoyable life. When the time comes that we are ready to dispatch, it is as quick and painless as possible limiting any undue stress placed on the birds. Their entire lives from the time they hatch in our care is as pleasant as we can possibly make it!
